Mvuu Lodge nestles in a lush riverine forest, in the Chiawa Game Management Area, on the banks of the Zambezi River. The property merges naturally with the surrounding vegetation, in keeping with the tranquil, unspoilt surroundings.
There are only 10 Luxury lodges, each with its own en-suite facilities. The accommodation is on raised wooden decks overlooking the River.
Activities are varied, and game viewing can be excellent without leaving camp, as there are visiting elephants, and good number of birds in the area. The Lower Zambezi Valley affords a wide range of bird habitats, making the area is justly renowned for its prolific birdlife with over 400 recorded species.
Game viewing can be enjoyed by vehicle, or boat, and as part of a sun downer cruise. Canoe down the mighty Zambezi and have the chance to see hippo, crocodiles and a wealth of other wildlife. You might also wish to experience a 3 day canoe trip, with overnight stops on the banks of the river – an incredible way to explore the area. You can also go out on guided walks, and excellent way to truly get to know the bush.
Leave some time just to relax at the swimming pool too.
Fishing is excellent, with tiger, vundu, bream and a number of other species for you to enjoy catching.
This is indeed a tranquil and relaxing spot.
